May 9

Here we go again!  May 9th will be our next meeting.  With the temps steadily rising and the fishing heating up it's a good time to come out, compare notes, and get a few flies tied up!  As always we'll be at Galway Bay (500 W Diversey) around 6:30pm.  Feel free to join us whenever you can.  Just bring whatever you need to tie up what you want or just hang out for a drink!  Everyone is always welcome!  Hope to see you there!

April Wrap Up

That's a wrap!  Thanks to everyone who came out this month.  We had a great time and are already looking forward to next month!  It's always fun to hang with other like minded folks over a few drinks. 
Our next meet up will be May 9.  Same time same place!  Hope to see you then!!  Now get out and enjoy this spring that finally arrived! 

April 11

It's almost that time again-  Come hang out with us at Galway Bay (500 W Diversey) for our next meet up on Monday April 11.   We'll be there starting around 6:30 getting in a few beers while tying up some spring patterns.  As always everyone is welcome from noobie or curious to seasoned pro  We're looking forward to a good time with flies, drinks and always fishy conversation.  Hope to see you there!

March Wrap Up

Another great Chi- Tie is in the books! Thanks to everyone who came out and to all the new folks who joined us!  The fly swap went well with a nice variety from midges to hoppers and all in between getting traded around.  A pretty good selection ready to catch some trout.

Our next meet up will be April 11 and we're already looking forward to hanging out again.  Until then enjoy the spring and get out and fish!

March 14

March 14th is our next meet up and due to popular request we're going to be doing another fly swap!

If you want in- we'll be doing a trout fly swap.  This is a good way to get a quick little variety and to see what everyone else is tying for them.  Any trout fly is in- from micro midges to streamers for big browns.  Just tie (or bring if you don't have time to tie them up there) 4 flies and we'll swap them around before the end of the night.  If you don't tie but still want in feel free to buy a few and bring them.  Not interested in the swap? That's fine too- come tie whatever you want or just hang with a beer!

As always everyone is welcome from curious newbie to seasoned grizzly old guide!  We hope to see you there!  As usual we'll be at Galway Bay (500 W Diversey) from 6:30 till around 9:30.

IF4 film fest 2016

The IF4 is coming back to Chicagoland! 

Once again our friends from aTightLoop/ Dunn are bringing the fest to Arlington Heights on Wednesday February 24th.  Held again at the Star Cinema Grill this fest shouldn't be missed.  Fend off that cabin fever for a few more weeks by joining a whole lot of good fishy people and enjoying an evening of films, food, drinks and give aways!  The theater has a full food and drink menu and even bring it to your seat during the film!  This is always a good time!
