Happy New Years from Chi- Tie!!  Hope everyone had a great holiday and has a fun safe New Years.   We'll be kicking off 2018 and another year of Chi Tie hangouts on Monday the 8th.  As always we'll be at Galway Bay around 6:30.  Everyone is welcome (21+) to join us!  Start off the new year with some fishy people and some good drinks!  Hope to see you there!

November 13+ the Early Show

Here we go again- time for another night tying flies and drinking beers at the bar! Escape the cold and dark with us on Monday the 13th at Galway Bay. We'll be there from about 6:30- 9:30 having a few drinks and hanging out.  Everyone is welcome (21+) whether you tie or not!  Bring your own materials to tie or just enjoy a beer and hang!

Sunday the 12th is the 2017 ISA Early Show!  This is the only fly fishing specific expo in Chicagoland.  We'll be spending the day with a bunch of our friends tying some flies and talking about our local waters. Don't miss it!

October 9

Fall is finally here!  The temps are cooling and fish are putting on the feed bag getting ready for the coming winter.  It's time to fish!
Come hang out Monday October 9 and grab a beer, maybe tie some flies for the season and enjoy the company of fellow fly fishers.  As always we'll be hanging out at Galway Bay around 6:30 pm or so.  Come when you can and leave when you have to!  See you there!

September 11

Summer is winding down and fall is coming up fast!  Whether your focus is those lake run trout and salmon or big pike and musky, it's time to think about tying.  Come join us at Galway Bay where we'll be knocking down a few beers and getting a few flies tied for the upcoming season.  As always everyone is welcome- from seasoned tyer to rookie.  Or if you just want to hang out with other fly fishers then come on out!

Here we go- time for another monthly meeting of Chi- Tie!  Hopefully every one has been having a great summer and been getting in plenty of fishing.  We'll be at Galway Bay on the 14th to hang out, have a few drinks, and maybe get a few flies tied!  We always have a good time and everyone is welcome to join us.  We hope we'll see you there!

June 12

Summer is finally here! We hope everyone has been getting out and getting in some fishing despite all the rain we've had.  It's about time for another Chi- Tie and a chance to hang out and hear about what everyone has been up to. Let's grab a few drinks, tie and chat about the season so far. 
As always we'll be at Galway Bay from around 6:30pm till whenever- this month on June 12.  Everyone (21+) is of course welcome from experienced tier to the complete newbie whether you want to tie or just hang out with some cool people.  See you there!

It's May and time for another Chi- Tie!  Spring is here and our local waters are heating up!  Fish are active and it's time to get out on the river! So come join us at Galway Bay, have a drink, tie a few flies and get excited for the season.  As always, we'll be there around 6:30- 9:30, but come when you can and leave when you have to.  Everyone is welcome and we're looking forward to hanging out.

March 13

Here we are in March and a seemingly early spring.  We'll all soon be out on the water all the time so take the evening to fill in some boxes.  We'll be hanging out Monday March 13 at Galway Bay from 6:30 till whenever.  Come on out and have a drink or two, tie some flies, or just hang out and lets talk fishing.  We're all getting antsy after that warm up so it's time to get things in order and get out there!

February 13

We're back for another month of Chi- Tie!  Join us Monday February 13 at 6:30 at Galway Bay.   Come hang out, have a drink and tie up some flies with us.  Whether you're an expert tyer or have never fly fished before- everyone is welcome.  (21+)  As always this will be an open tie so bring whatever tools and materials you need to tie.
And don't forget- We'll be taking donations for Project Healing Waters this month.  If you have old unused gear or want to donate some flies, we'll be putting together a box to send to our local branch supporting US veterans.

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2017 and another year of Chi- Tie.  Our first meet up of the year will be Monday the 9th.  As always we'll be at Galway Bay from 6:30ish till whenever.  Everyone is welcome whether you're a new tier or a seasoned pro, new to the group or a regular.  We're just here to have a good time hanging out, tying a few flies, having a few drinks, and talking fish.
And don't forget- for the next two months we'll be collecting gear and flies to donate to Project Healing Waters.  So if you have some used gear you've replaced or don't use anymore or need an excuse to keep tying when your boxes are full, bring them with and we'll be putting together a package for our local programs.

Here's to a Happy 2017 friends.  Hope everyone has a great year full of clean flies, big fish and cold beers!
