Our good friends from aTightLoop and Dun are bringing another fly fishing film event to Chicagoland!
The F3T will be in Arlington Heights on Wed July 29.
This is definitely going to be a great time with some amazing looking films showing.

July Wrap Up

As always our monthly meet up was a great time!  We had a lot of fun hanging out and tying flies.  Again we had a big variety tied from tiny trout flies up to musky poppers and everything in between! 
Our next meet up will be August 10.  Hope to see you then!  Now go fish!

July 13

Next meet up is Monday July 13!  We'll be at Galway Bay at 6:30.  Come hang out with us and get a few flies tied and ready for when the rivers are fishable again and/ or have a drink or two and talk fishing!  As always, anyone is welcome to join us whether a pro or just curious.
Again this month, weather permitting of course, one or two of us will be fishing over at a near by harbor before hand.

June Wrap Up

June was another great time at Chi- Tie.  Galway was a little busier than usual with the Hawks game but it worked out well for some of us to watch it and it made for a great over all atmosphere.  As usual we had a great variety of flies being tied from tiny trout flies to bigger smallmouth patterns.  we even got a couple new guys behind the vise to learn a couple new flies!
Thanks to everyone who came out and we look forward to seeing you all next month on July 13!

June 8

That's right! Next meet up is right around the corner!  Monday June 8 at 6:30 pm.  We'll be at Galway Bay on Diversey as usual.  Everyone is welcome to come hang.  Bring a vise and materials and tie whatever you need for an upcoming trip or just to fill a few slots in the box.  Or just hang and talk fishing!
Weather permitting one or more of us will be fishing down at the lakefront before hand for a couple hours.  Feel free to contact us on Facebook if you want to join in!

IRON FLY (suburban) Chicago!!

Iron Fly is coming to Chicagoland!! We're helping bring the popular national event to the burbs next week!  This is great fun and and the perfect event to bring a friend to who doesn't fly fish or tie.  The emphasis is fun with a bunch of tying games and a decent chance at winning some killer swag.  This is something you don't want to miss!  And the cool part- kids are welcome!  So bring em with!

May Wrap Up

As usual our monthly get together was a great time.  A few drinks were had, some flies tied, and some stories told.   Don't forget we run all summer long so we'll still be hanging out each second Monday of the month.  Or next meet will be on June 8 and weather dependent one there may be fishing before hand down at the lake.  Come join us!
