November Wrap Up

After spending the day before out at The Early Show we had our monthly meet up over at Galway Bay again.  We had a great time finishing up some flies from the day before and tying some new ones for upcoming trips.  Of course there were a few drinks and lot of laughs.  Thanks to everyone who made it out. 
Next month's meet up will be December 8.  See you then!

November 10

Coming up November 10 is our next meet up at Galway Bay Chicago!  Come on out and join us for a few drinks and a few flies.  It's always a good time.  We welcome anyone and everyone to hang out with us.  Whether you're an fly tying pro or newly interested in the sport, we hope you join us for the evening.  And don't forget to come see us at the Early Show the day before.  Check out our last post for details.  Hope to see you there!

ISA Early Show

The convention season is fast approaching and the ISA (Illinois Smallmouth Assocation) is kicking it off with the only fly fishing specific show of the year featuring tiers from several Chicagoland clubs as well as local guides and vendors.
We'll be there with a couple guys tying and repping Chi- Tie.  Come on out and see us and other club friends.  It's always a good time showcasing a ton of local talent.

October 13

Monday October 13 will be our next meet up.  Come on out and have a beer and tie a fly or two with us.  Fall is looking good with plenty of action still left in the season whether you're after steelhead and salmon or big pike and musky, or both!  We'll be hanging out at Galway Bay again from 6:30 on.

September 8

It's an early one this month!  Next Monday the 8th!  Join us over at Galway Bay to knock out a few flies and a few beers.  We'll be there from about 6:30 till whenever.  Come hang out and tie or just chat.  Hope to see you there!

August Wrap Up

I'm a little behind getting this post up but here it is.  Our August meet up was a great time as usual.  The first fly swap seemed a success as well and is something we'll try again this winter.  Thanks to everyone who participated.
Our next meet up will be September 8 and we hope to see you there!  Until then...

August 11

Next Chi- Tie meet up is coming up soon on Monday August 11!    As always we'll be hanging out at Gaway Bay (500 W Diversey) from 6:30pm on.
This month we'll be trying something new and be having our first fly swap with a theme of baitfish.  So tie (or bring) 3 of any one baitfish pattern and we'll be trading out at the end of the evening.  Looking forward to tying this out and seeing everyones creations.  So come on out and have a beer, tie with us, and get a few new flies while you're at it  And of course anyone is welcome to come hang out with us whether you want to tie or not.
